If you can’t go to the Caribbean go to Rum Kitchen. Tucked away in Kingly Court just off Carnaby Street you find it on the 1st floor. One of my favourite places in London!

As soon as you enter you feel the buzz and great atmosphere. The music makes you dance in your seat while you munch on a chicken wing and the staff light up the room with their smiles.

The place was packed out! So I recommend booking a reservation, unless like me you want to torture your tastebuds and wait for a table in a room full of amazing smells!

Who goes to a Jamaican restaurant without getting jerk chicken?

I went for the 5 piece Jerk Bowl – costing £13.50.

Consisted of boneless thighs that was super succulent bursting with flavour. Rice & beans cooked with coconut milk, slaw, watermelon, pineapple & some KILLA jerk gravy. Poured that shit everywhereee.

For sides I had sweet potato fries – costing £4.00

Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and a nice glaze of chilli maple syrup on top.

Safe to say I was satisfied.

The bar looked insane! It brought the Caribbean beach shack drinks with travel inspired flavours to London. If you’re shit at handling your drink like myself, mocktails are available.

I went for the Guanabetter Mocktail – £4.50

A mix of Guanabana Juice, Elderflower Cordial, Lemon & Apple Juice. Was refreshing and citrusy!

My girl went for the Light Breeze Mocktail – £4.50

A sweet mix of Passion Fruit Monin, Guava Juice, Pineapple Juice, Lime & Grenadine Monin. Of course I took a gulp of hers..sweet and tangy. Thumbs up!

SERVICE – 7/10

FOOD – 9/10

Rum Kitchen is a good place to munch without starving your bank account. I’ll defo be back!
