Why is it that when people think ‘healthy’ they think – a low calorie diet that is unsustainable and undesirable to be ABLE to and to WANT to survive long term on?
They start having a break down because they had a bit of bread on the weekend.
Or punish themselves with 2 hours cardio because instead of dunking 1 chocolate digestive in their tea they dunked 2.
I’m a MASSIVE foodie. I love my cake and I make sure at the end of the day I have my sweet treat. Somedays I may overindulge..somedays I don’t even train to ‘earn it’. This doesn’t make me ‘naughty’ this makes me human.
Yes, people are making better and more wiser food choices, which is great..
People are now becoming OBSESSIVE.
Food is food. Calories are energy.
As long as you’re not consuming TOO MUCH of something on a regular basis then I consider it healthy.
Have a BALANCE of CARBS, FATS and PROTEIN.
You don’t need an overly expensive nut butter and an organic egg fresh from your pet chicken to be considered ‘healthy’.
Sainsbury’s basics will be just fine.
In conclusion, eat what ever the hell you want in MODERATION.
