WHY DO PEOPLE WITH LESS TALENT DO BETTER?

Why is it that the people with less talent seem to do better?

The answer is always MINDSET.

Your MINDSET is controlled by your BELIEFS.

Your BELIEFS are responsible for how you PERFORM.

BELIEVE in what your are doing. Believe in what you DESERVE.

People too easily blame poor skill on their lack of talent and their genetics. What if I told you that you can become as great as you want at anything?

All it requires is PRACTICE.

LOTS OF PRACTICE.

LOTS OF FREQUENT PRACTICE.

No, it’s not as easy as saying “I can’t do it”, but persistence and determination is what helps mould and develop a character that will prevent holding you back from what you desire.

Talent will give you a head start, but it won’t determine success.

You think Serena Williams was ranked No. 1 in women singles tennis on six occasions because of some talent? Hell no! She was on the court at the age of just 3 every morning practicing what she loved. You think J. K. Rowling wrote Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, and then made 107 million sales worldwide the next day? Nope! She received 12 rejections in a row, before ever being published!

What I’m trying to say is TALENT will be your gain, but HARD WORK and PERSISTENCE is what will make you grow; aided by your BELIEFS to keep going.

MENTALITY IS EVERYTHING!!

Good Luck

  1. Anders Ericsson, who is a professor at Florida State University, has said that it takes 10,000 hours of practice to become an expert in something. Yes, some people have natural talent and environmental advantages that push them towards success, but without the ability to persist and practice consistently, you will never master anything. People such as Michael Jordon, Pablo Picasso and Albert Einstein were not great then because they were naturally great at birth, they were great because they persevered and practiced more than any other individual. completely agree with this:) great post:))
